A shape was extracted from image noise and copied and rotated many times. Analogous to how a cell multiplies and a new organism is formed as a result. Light and shadow merge the forms into a unity, a fantastic star in the realm of possibilities.

In "celestial bodies" from 2020/21, the finesse of form-finding in digital processes is taken even further. A mesh of lines is given apparent three-dimensionality by virtually placed light sources and clouds of color. In numerous variations of these line tangles, shifts of foreground and background, density and depth are depicted. The eye accustomed to images recognizes the kinship with the fascinating images of dying or emerging galaxies. The celestial bodies of Birthe Blauth were born in her mind.
